Pastoral Ministry

July 24, 2017

Dear Reader:

Thank you for visiting Some of you visiting this blog may be looking for information on the church I currently serve as pastor or may be looking for my previous blog (also known as Truth-Based Living). For several reasons, I had to close that blog and focus most of my blogging activities here.

This blog ( is written to help people of faith navigate the world around them, particularly as it relates to entertainment, relationships, social issues, and personal development. Though, I should add, that some of this blog’s content is written with a wide audience in mind, including those who do not share my Christian faith. Since I’m a huge fan of history, science fiction, and fantasy, you’ll find that a lot of my articles deal with those topics. In fact, I’ve written several reviews on books in those genres.

Most of my writing efforts, at this time, are focused on this blog as well as on some fiction projects that I hope to publish before the year is out. One is a fantasy serial on Wattpad. You can read the first few parts (chapters) now. Two other projects remain on my hard drive, and I hope to self-publish them on Amazon’s KDP platform in the coming months. Being a pastor is a demanding job, so my writing time is limited, but thankfully, the church I serve does believe in giving me some time away for family, relaxation, and hobbies. čÖé Hopefully, in the coming months, I’ll be able to fulfill my lifelong dream of becoming not just a writer, but a novelist.

If you’re interested in my writing on issues pertaining to religion or philosophy, I encourage you to check out my free nonfiction booklet, The Death of Truth.┬áIt’s available online for free at Wattpad.

For those interested in my ministry as a pastor, I encourage you to visit I’ve been honored to serve as the┬áSenior Pastor of Olney Baptist Church in Olney, Maryland since September 2009. We’re located at 17525 Georgia Avenue in Olney, Maryland. If you’re within driving distance of Montgomery County, Maryland, please drop by and visit sometime.

In the meantime,┬áit is my hope that you will find this blog’s content edifying and enjoyable.

God bless you!
